I am an internet entrepreneur and eBay junkie! And FunnyAuctions.co.uk is my baby.

The eBay bit came about in 2000, when I had 3 packs of playing cards I wanted to sell. Although these were conventional playing cards they were, like me, quite old!

Given that I wanted (needed!) the money, my choices seemed to be selling the cards at a car boot sale, or to the owner of a second hand shop (I believe the politically correct term is pre-used), via a classified ad in a newspaper, or to someone down the pub. This last prospect was enticing were it not for the fact that my profits may have been unavoidably consumed!

And then I remembered eBay.

And so eBay it was - with crossed everything.

I needn’t have worried. To my surprise, my playing cards eBay auctions came up trumps. (sorry about that)

I duly sold the cards, and made a thankful amount of cash.

My eBay road since then has included me writing a best selling ebook - “The eBay Formula”. I have also produced the “eBay Auction Newsletter” for five years.

Within my newsletter, I have a regular section called “Someone’s Auctioning What?”. This has proved to be a very popular item with my newsletter subscribers, and I frequently get submissions from readers with potential contributions they have come across on eBay.

So you can see, I have always been fascinated by the novel and exciting ways eBay members sell their wares. This “Funny Auctions” website is the next logical extension where we show the world how creative UK eBay members can be!
